Bo Lozoff’s first book, We’re All Doing Time, has met phenomenal acclaim around the world since its first printing in 1984. Few books have crossed religious, ethnic, cultural and economic lines with such a clear and simple, immediately useful expression of ageless spiritual truths. The English-language edition is now in its nineteenth printing with over half a million copies sold.

“This practical manual will inspire everyone who is as concerned with helping others as with their own personal improvement.” — from the Foreword by His Holiness, The Dalai Lama

I received this book when i was incarcerated in Pierre South Dakota in the Womens Prison. It helped me tremendously!! It also helped me to stay out of prison and jail when i was paroled in 2003 and was released. I have been free since 2006. I let my sister borrow it in hard times and now i’m facing hard times with addiction with my daughter and me both together in the same addiction to meth. My sister lost the book and am so glad i found this on the internet! THANK YOU!!!

      Hi Micki,

Glad to meet you, and sorry you and your daughter are having such hard times. Let’s make this the last hard time from addiction, okay? You can request any of my books for free by writing Human Kindness Foundation, PO Box 61619, Durham NC 27715. Let me hear from you when you’re over the hump, okay? I’ll be praying for you both. — Bo

    Bo,

I want you to know that your book “We’re All Doing Time” helped me to help myself through the worst period of my entire life (incarceration). Through the simple, yet profound, guidelines and exercises – and frankly, through the love you obviously have for people whom you have not even met – I found more peace than at any other period of my life. By following the practices as best I could, I greatly reduced my anxiety levels and broke the vicious cycles of anxiety and depression. I have always wanted to express my thanks – I have gifted that book over 30 times already….but it’s not enough. Thank you for caring.

Hi Keith, thanks so much for your kind words and gratitude. I’m glad my book helped you when you needed it. It’s great when life works that way. And I’m glad we have one more good man on the outside; the world needs all the help it can get!

      Blessings, Bo
